The BWF-CERTIFIRE Scheme

The leading authority on fire door safety

Our members provide a range of 3rd party certificated products to ensure that all involved in the specification, installation, inspection and use of fire doors are confident that BWF-CERTIFIRE Scheme products are fit for purpose.

All participating members of the BWF-CERTIFIRE Fire Door and Doorset Scheme are rigorously assessed and audited, providing specifiers with the added security and confidence in the products being selected.

A fire door is a vital safety device engineered to save lives and property. Its correct specification, fitting and maintenance are the responsibility of each and every person involved in the process from specification to maintenance.

If you take short cuts or think you can save money by saving on specification, it's time to think again. It's only when a fire breaks out that the consequences of your actions are known.

To support the work of the Scheme and encourage fire safety, we have recently launched a comprehensive and free-to-download Best Practice Guide to selecting, installing, using and maintaining fire doors.
